Whether you realize it or not, you've probably seen the photography of Tristan Afre in the BMX industry. His work is dialed, his photos are robust and crisp and he always gets the sky blue. You should really follow him on Flickr, because gems like this pop up all the time!
TweetThe FF guys rolled around LBC with Mashafix for the newest Power Hour edit. I know it's hard to see but Joe 180's a massive stair set. Damn impressive.

Ed loves his Geekhouse Rockcity and based on the Flickr and blog traffic, I'd say that you guys do too. While it's easy to comment on how a bike's geometry looks "funny", sometimes it helps to see a rider with their bike. After I shot some photos of the bike, I got a few of its happy owner next to it.
Check out Ed and his Geekhouse Rockcity below!

iMinusD just posted up these slick new snap backs. Get on them now because for $20, they won't last long!
TweetHeadquarters Boston is a collective in Boston meant to offer affordable workspace for small, creative companies. Geekhouse will be moving into this massive loft, along with other small time manufacturing companies. Marty has been talking about this for some time now and I'm so stoked for him to see it finally going somewhere. Headquarters Boston has a splash page up and the Geekhouse Flickr has some photos of the space.
The guys are going to be posting more information shortly, so sit tight.
TweetBlue Lug recently opened a new shop in Kamiuma, Tokyo. They posted up a set from the opening party, which you can check out here at their blog. I still think it's nuts to think that the ban on brakeless track bikes is becoming the catalyst for people getting into other forms of cycling in Japan, even if it's just enforced in the more dense areas of Tokyo.
TweetWhen Matt posted something up on Instagram about this, I hardly recognized Josh because he's lost so much weight since the last time I saw him. For those of you don't know who Josh is, he's the one who kills it in Macaframa. At the time, his section was one of the best fixed freestyle videos and it was all on a legit track bike. Glad to see that Josh is still crushing it. Check out more at Rec Fail.

I love how Tony took photos of the Bilenky Junkyard Cross race and there's only one bike in the set. Check out more stacked cars and spectators below in a slideshow.

The SoCalCross race was a great way to spend my last day in LA. I met a ton of great people, saw old friends and made new ones, all while shooting photos of people racing cross in the beautiful hills of Griffith Park. Cross in LA is a growing scene and while it may not be as muddy as the Northwest, It's one hell of a ride.
Check out more below!

Andy from Fame & Spear took photos of a series of Melbourne frame builders while Biking Brisbane interviewed them for a new video series. There are three sets online now, but I liked the photos from Daryl Perkins the best. Check the other two out here.

You gotta hand it to T-Level. They make solid bags, in their home country of Korea and they still support international riders. I'll support that any day. These new Native Collections are something straight up Tracko's alley with their Native American-influenced fabrics and colors.
Thanks for sharing Edsel!

This is the most positive thing I've seen on the internet all week:
"The Holstee Manifesto is a call to action to live a life full of intention, creativity, passion, and community.
The LifeCycle Film came about as a desire to bring the energy and passion behind the Manifesto to life through something we love--biking. As we seek to live mindful lifestyles that leave a positive impact on the people and world around us, biking has become a passion that is much more than a transportation alternative. It is a way of fully experiencing the city we love and all of its details.
This Film is a celebration. It is a celebration of gatherings, of diversity, of life, and of the beauty of shared experience. We hope you enjoy."

Here we are, just a week or so since the last CX Hairs Bilenky Junkyard Cross video and I still love watching this shit. The BMX and big bike riders ripped that palette kicker. Even the real cross racers looked like they had fun. I spy Chabs in there!

Stefan from 8bar Bikes emailed me their newest addition to their fixed gear line, the Cyclocross Fixed. Personally, I think it looks like a track bike that fits 32c tires because the clearances on the fork crown look a little too close to take it off road in my opinion. But if it's on the street, it'd be a blast. That aside, I do like these photos Stefan took of a guy riding it in the woods. Check out more at 8bar Bikes' Flickr.
TweetOh man, this is too good. Check out this video, shot with a Red Epic-M of a guy riding his fixed gear. Don't miss that epic skid at 1:08! It kinda looks like Mark Marino doesn't it?
